I was recently contacted to try out the “Fix It and Forget It, Revised & Updated” Cookbook to review! How exciting to have the opportunity to receive the updated version, as I already love the original book. Even better news: I have an extra to Give Away!! YIPEE! Entry guidelines are listed below.
Fix It and Forget It is all about slow cooker appetizers, main dishes, sides and desserts. The updated version has over 100 new recipes and my favorite page is the slow cooker myths and tips to make your appliance work even better for you. I have learned a ton and got educated on why certain dishes haven’t turned out for me before. I am excited to use this new tool for making a bigger variety of things in my crock! I probably don’t even need to say how much my family love-loved the following recipe we tried, my pictures should make you drool…

I love this last picture, it shows the layers of frosting on top, and the moist goodness on the bottom. Not to mention the decadent pecan on my fork…yes, it was divine!

Never tried it, but that cake sure looks delicious. I think I would enjoy having more crockpot recipes to not follow exactly, haha.
6 friends invited! Do I need to post 10 separate comments? It wasn’t quite clear.
no, not 10 separate comments. Just have your friends reference you when they enter the drawing with their comments! Yay for you…in the lead with your lonely entry:)
I haven’t tried it. But the book looks like it would help me in a pinch when things are not working out for me or a good place to start too.
I was following your blog for a while and then our computer had issues and you weren’t in my favorites anymore, so I’m glad Cherish sent me the invitation. I think I have tried the first version of the cookbook (checked out from the library). I would love to try the fudge cake. And probably some other recipes so that I don’t have to have the oven heating up my house.
I have never tried the cookbook but would love too. I love using the crockpot but need some good recioies to help me use it new fun ways.
I recently got married and I can only cook if I have a cookbook. One of our wedding presents was a crock pot and my husband says “Do you know any slow cook recipes?” And I said “Sweetie, I can only cook if it involves boiling water and adding noodles.” I would love to surprise my husband with a home cooked meal with our wedding present that we still haven’t opened in 7 months. Also I was referred by Cherish.
I dont have that book but would love to have meals that can be tossed together in the morning and eaten by my little family at night
I have the crockpot version and would enjoy having some recipes to use in the oven. That is, after the summer heat is gone. LOL
Yay, I referred Amy Snell and Jaime too. Only need one more friend to post…
I’ve wanted to try recipes from this book, but never would buy it. My husband would love that cake!
I have the very 1st Fix It And Forget It book (love it)! My favorite to make (and family’s favorite to eat) is the Tatertot casserole. So very easy and delicious. It has your meat, potatoes, and veggies all in one!! YUMMY!!
